Local bands will once again be rocking in Tampa‘s Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park next week on September 2nd. The music series, which started this summer, has been a great success. It’s not only a great place to hear live music, but also a perfect opportunity to enjoy Tampa‘s newly redesigned park right on the Hillsborough River. If you haven’t been to one yet, check it out next week!
Live performances by Mogul Street Reserve and The Hip Abduction. The Hip Abduction is a Florida band whose sound combines reggae, soul, blues, and funk. Their world music vibe is known for keeping the crowd dancing. Originally from Florida’s panhandle, Mogul Street Reserve’s band members are now residents of Tampa Bay. They are a progressive alt-rock band whose songs feature catchy melodies, and have just completed their third album.
According to Rock the Park’s Facebook page, they’re currently seeking a University of Tampa student musician to open up for the September show. Which Spartan will get their shot at fame?
Rock the Park is a free event and is open to all ages. Event hours are 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm.
