Many people who are ready, willing and able to buy Tampa real estate now are not?   If you are in the market to purchase a home, now is the time.  Why you ask?   Well I look at it this way. When you go shopping for groceries, new shoes or clothes, don’t you always like to get it on sale?   Well of course you do, anyone does.   Well think of it as the real estate market is having a sale right now.  For example, a few years ago you could not purchase a home in South Tampa for less than 300k, now there are deals everywhere for under 200k!  It seems strange to me that when the market was at its peak and everyone was rushing to buy an overpriced piece of real estate in Tampa Bay.  It is definitely not a sellers market, but those homeowners who are in distressed properties that have to sell, should consult with an attorney regarding the legalities and what penalties they may incur.  These distressed properties are a bargain and are usually marked well below fair market value.  Of course, short sales do take time to go through the bank, but if you are patient, it will definitely be an investment.
